Sacred Cow Tipping

The buzz about social media in recruiting has reached such a fever pitch that meaning, relevancy, and results, have become lost in the storm.  The goal for this presentation is to expand and clarify your understanding of what Social Recruiting really means and can be.   No cow is sacred in this discussion as Josh takes you through a ground level, day to day view of his experiences with “social recruiting” at one of the top social media savvy companies.

Don Ramer CEO and Founder, Arbita

Game-Changing Recruiting Shifts

Perhaps it is an escalation of the "War for Talent" or maybe an after- effect of Web 2.0 advances, but it is clear that the recruiting function is currently experiencing unprecedented change.  This provocative session will highlight the innovative trends helping to accelerate productivity in the online recruiting process.

PLEASE NOTE: Registration will not be open until 2 PM today.

Information from Susan Burns on Future of Talent:

You are invited to a free, invitation-only introduction to the Future of Talent Institute.

If you are concerned about what your workforce will look like after this recession or if you are struggling with developing a talent strategy and how to balance the trends in the economy with the supply of talent, you will find this an engaging and worthwhile event.

Kevin Wheeler, founder of the Future of Talent Institute, along with executive director, Susan Burns, and a selected group of your peers, will introduce you to the Institute and the kinds of research and activities that it undertakes by holding a discussion about emerging trends, their implications for organizations of all sizes, and their impact on talent and work. Over the past five years, the Future of Talent Institute has brought mid- to senior-level HR, and talent leaders from around the globe together to learn about and explore emerging trends and issues in talent management, employee development, retention and recruitment.

By focusing on these interconnected elements of Talent the Institute helps you architect a more holistic, actionable and effective talent strategy to prepare for the future and attract, develop and retain talent. Our research is conducted globally and represents the advanced thinking of academics and practitioners in a variety of sectors.

This get together will be held on Thursday, July 16th, from 8:00 am to – 1:30 pm at Best Buy Headquarters in Minneapolis. We encourage corporate practitioners from leadership development, learning and development, OD, succession planning, workforce planning, and staffing/recruiting to attend.

Please RSVP to Susan Burns, Executive Director for the Future of Talent Institute at sburns@futureoftalent.org or via phone at 503.381.9292 to confirm your attendance. Only two per company please given the nature of this event, which is designed for 40 people.

For more information about the agenda and the Institute, please check out our website at www.FutureOfTalent.org.

I hope you’ll join us on July 16th and look forward to meeting you!
